Grandparent’s Day – September 9, 2018

Grandparent’s Day has been observed on the first Sunday after Labor Day in the United States since 1978 – that’s 40 years!  Grandparents are important, let’s remember them on this day.

Here are some craft ideas for the kids to do this week that will make sweet gifts for Grandparent’s Day:

“I Love You to Pieces!” Grandparents Gift

These puzzle piece frames are easy – and you can get a box of puzzle pieces from the Dollar Tree for $1!

This one has a different saying on it:

grandparentsframe“A Grandson Holds a Special Piece of Your Heart!”

Puzzle piece picture frame directions here.

“Happy Grandparent’s Day from your little sunshine!”

If you want to do this with your little ones, get the full supply list and directions here: Homemade Paper Plate Suncatcher.

“Grandparents hold their grandchildren’s hands for a little while, but their heart forever.”

This was actually a Valentine’s day card but when you write the quote above on the back of it (or around the edge of the hard) you have the perfect Grandparent’s day keepsake!  (instructions)
