May 20th: National STREAMING Day | Deals Here!

I have always advocated for cutting cable to save money, but it is significantly different than it was 12+ years ago when we ditched cable.  With the sheer number of different streaming options, if you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself paying just as much for multiple streaming services.

You have to be conscious about which streaming services you choose.  For a long time, Hulu and Disney+ were working for us, but last fall, I realized we were no longer using either one of those enough to justify the cost.  My teenager paid for NBA TV out of his own pocket during the regular NBA season but when his team didn’t make the playoffs, we cancelled that as well.  Currently, we only have free Roku channels and Amazon Prime (which we barely use but it’s linked to all the other Prime benefits so the streaming option is just there.)

Monday, May 20th is National Streaming Day, so if you are considering a streaming service, here’s the best deals you can grab:
