The Georgia Renaissance Festival is a 16th century England Renaissance Festival and it’s BACK for the 2024 season! And I have tickets to give away (giveaway form at the bottom of the post)
The Festival will run every weekend April 13th thru June 2nd, 2024, Saturdays and Sundays 10:30am to 6pm and Memorial Day Monday.
The 39th Annual Georgia Renaissance Festival is a family-friendly event, and a different kind of theme park. Inside this 32-acre recreation of a 16th Century English Village you’ll find hundreds of costumed characters, the Queen and her Court, endless circus-style entertainment on 10 stages, shopping in over 130 artisan shoppes, food fit for Royalty, games and rides for kids of all ages, and the spectacular Jousting Knights on horseback. Patrons are invited to wear costumes and join in the fun too. It’s a whole lotta fun, and a little bit of History, every weekend April 13th thru June 2nd.
Can you dress up for the festival? YES! We’ve done it in costume and not in costume. Just know that regardless, you need to dress for COMFORT. (This is addressed in my post on important tips before you go.) Dressing up is FUN but things to consider are: outside, walking, weather and bathroom facilities. There are those portable bathroom trailers for most of the women’s restrooms (at the entrance and the ones in the very back) but G has informed me that at ALL three Men’s restroom locations are nothing put Port-A-Potties.)

The acts and entertainment can vary from year to year, but we’re excited that our regular favorites, Barely Balanced and Cast in Bronze will be at this year’s festival. As well as our NEW favorite from last year, Rota Temporis. If you happen to be there on Highland Weekend, you’ll LOVE The John Mohr Mackintosh Pipe and Drum Band.
