I know no one wants to talk about it “that time of the month.” And we certainly don’t feel like talking to ANYONE about ANYTHING during that time of the month. We might consider talking to you if you have chocolate…but be prepared for us to turn on you when the chocolate runs out.

I want to talk about that last point first. A one-time purchase that will last you years. It has become my life’s mission to SAVE YOU MONEY. Could you imagine the money you would save from not buying pads and tampons? Let me be real with you for a moment. I have always suffered from BAD periods. BAD. Heavy periods for 5+ days. Do you know how much I spend on feminine hygiene? TOO MUCH. That’s the answer. So looking at it from a completely economical standpoint, this little cup is great.
But, economics aside. There are other benefits. I got my Lunette in the mail but you know, you have to wait for the right time to come around to use it. And then I started my period the day before I had to leave on a weekend trip. I thought, hey, why not. It will be a fabulous way to put this to the test. So I used it that first night before I leave and WOW at the overnight protection. I wore a pad to bed just in case. But it was clean when I woke up! Super! So I was really excited to get to use this on my trip.
The next day, I had a three hour drive to make. It was great! We got to our first destination of the day – we were visiting an animal sanctuary before going to our second destination. If it weren’t for that, I would have had to endure the port-a-potty so I could change my feminines! I enjoyed our tour of the animal sanctuary worry free that afternoon.
After our visit, we left for our hotel for the weekend, that I had picked because it had an indoor pool. And guess what? Lunette saved me there too. I normally avoid swimming during that time. One Lunette is great, but I’ve decided that I want a second one. Just in case I am out and need to change and can’t easily and discreetly clean one. I can store it and use by backup one. Plus, Lunette comes in 2 sizes. I ordered a 1 but I would like the second one to be a 2. I did have a “leak” wearing it overnight on my heaviest night. Having a 2 would be nice for extra overnight protection.
