Dinner for 2…for $2?

I blogged awhile back about my $3 dinner but tonight I topped that.

I went to Wal-Mart today and got:
Chef’s Request bacon-wrapped filets for 28c
Idahoan Garlic & Parmesan mashed potatoes for 54c
Birdseye Steamfresh Corn for 38c

That’s $1.20!

I made it for dinner tonight with a can of crescent rolls that I already had (that I paid under $1 for).

Which comes out to a steak dinner for 2 for right around $2!!!

The three things I bought today were all on the list I posted last night.

Here’s how I got the steaks for 28c:

Chef Requested Bacon Wrapped Steaks
Retail: $3.28
Coupon: $3 printable
Total: 28c

    I did this same deal this week (hubby had both steaks, i don't eat meat) With a variation, I had the steaks from Walmart, 3 sweet potatoes from Publix 60cents, and a can of peas from Target ~25cents! I love saving money! (and I had rolls that I got from Target for free (Archer Farms $1.00 off coupon)

    I went to Walmart with the steak coupons in hand and they were 6$ each. I passed. Bummer

    I also went to the Walmart in my area and they were $6. :-(

    The ones at my Walmart were 3.96 and were stocked right next to the bacon wrapped filet mignon that was $6 that had indentical packaging.
