FREE Weekend Activities for March 3 & 4, 2018

Here’s everything you can do this weekend – did you know it’s Youth Hockey Day and Free Museum Weekend?

  • National Museum Weekend – Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders can get FREE access to 150 participating museums in 32 states and 98 cities on March 3 and 4, 2018.
  • National Hockey Weekend – USA Hockey and over 500 local programs across the country are offering the chance for kids between the ages of 4 and 9 to try Youth Hockey completely FREE on Saturday, March 3rd! Contact your local participating host site for more information.

Join us for Storytime featuring this classic tale of a voracious caterpillar who eats his way through the days of the week and then changes into a beautiful butterfly. Activities to follow.

Kids’ Workshop: Periscope
Hone your powers of observation in our hands-on workshop. Just like an above-water viewfinder or historical trench optical instrument, you and your child can construct a periscope to expand your view. Once the periscope is built, your child can decorate it with paint and stickers. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.

Target is celebrating Dr. Seuss’ Birthday by having story time with a big book version of Green Eggs and Ham. There will be readings at the top of every half hour up until 1pm as well as some fun freebies, like an activity book & a Dr. Seuss’s ABC poster with stickers.
