National READ A BOOK Day, September 6th | Here are some book suggestions for kids AND grown ups!

September 6, 2017, is National Read a Book Day!

This is a day I can fully support!  I love reading!  In fact, I want to ignore everything all day and read!  Who’s with me??

Don’t know what to read?  Here is the best book I’ve read all year:

Station Eleven: A Novel – by Emily St. John Mandel

2014 National Book Award Finalist and A New York Times Bestseller

An audacious, darkly glittering novel set in the eerie days of civilization’s collapse, Station Eleven tells the spellbinding story of a Hollywood star, his would-be savior, and a nomadic group of actors roaming the scattered outposts of the Great Lakes region, risking everything for art and humanity.

Available on Amazon in hardcover, paperback or Kindle.

Here are some other books I have enjoyed this year:

Wild by Cheryl Strayed

Talking as Fast as I Can by Lauren Graham

Beauty by Robin McKinley
