Floating around the pool can be hard work! Be sure and stay hydrated without losing any valuable pool lounging and playtime with this clever idea. For $3 and 5 minutes, you can make sure you don’t miss a single ray of sunshine dashing in to grab a drink by putting together this great floating cooler!  (Bottled water 6 packs are just $1 at Dollar Tree too!  You can even gets your drinks while you’re there!)

Shop at Dollar Tree – Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Plastic Dish Pan
  • Pool Noodle
  • Twine or Rope

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

  1. Cut pool noodle into lengths that match the sides of the wash bin.
  2. Thread twine through the noodle holes. (Tip: tape twine to a pencil and let gravity help you feed the string though the noodle.)
  3. Tie the strung-together pool noodle tightly around the basin. If it comes off the bottom, that’s OK. As long as the lip of the bin rests firmly on the pool noodle, it will float.
  4. Fill with drinks and ice and float in the pool.

You’ll probably have enough twine in one pack to make two.  So you can actually make two for $5 by picking up one extre bucket and one more pool noodle.
