I used mine for Bug’s birthday party. The cake had to be transported from our house to the church.
First, the top swivels open, making serving it even easier (you don’t have to find somewhere to set the top when you take it off to serve it!)
Second, once you’re finished serving one half of the serving plate folds up and you lock it into place. Like so:
That made the getting the leftover cake home from the party super easy! Especially since we had MORE stuff to take home. Seriously, the kid made out like a bandit in the present department.
Not to mention, when not in use it takes up HALF the space as a regular cake carrier!
