Frugal “Hand”made Card from a Child – A Birthday High Five

I made this card with Bug for my dad’s birthday this year.  It’s a great way to preserve a tiny hand and grandparents LOVE that!  :)

It’s pretty self explanatory.  I used a blank card from my scrapbook supplies (it just happened to be rounded.)  You can use cardstock or construction paper to make your own card.

Supplies:

Cardstock or Construction Paper
Paint
Paintbrush
Marker

Directions:

Paint your child’s hand.  Don’t let them press it into paint and apply it to the paper – it will be too thick and won’t show definition and it will smear. Paint a thin amount onto your child’s hand and press onto the paper.  You might want to experiment on blank paper until you get it to your liking.

Label the card, “A Birthday High Five For You!”
