Novartis (a major drug manufacturer) issued a voluntary recall on select bottle sizes of Excedrin, NoDoz, Bufferin, and Gas-X . More information about this recall can be found on the Novartis website.
According to the website they are recalling:
all lots of select bottle sizes of Excedrin® and NoDoz® Alertness Aid products with expiry dates of December 20, 2014 or earlier as well as Bufferin® and Gas-X® Prevention®* products with expiry dates of December 20, 2013 or earlier, in the United States
I would suggest checking your medicine cabinets for these medicines with the dates mentioned and then matching the lot number against this list to be sure.

When can we expect Excedrin to return to the shelves? I have checked Walmart and other places – none to be found. I was notified by Sam’s Club of the recall and called the number, as my letter stated to do. I was told to expect paperwork in the mail for a refund of my remaining tablets and to date have not received any such forms – I would say at least a month ago was when I called. I had purchased my excedrin from Sam’s (3 bottles to a package) about 6 months ago and have taken all but one bottle. I am assuming I will be okay???
Please let me know when to expect excedrin to return to the stores.
