5% off at Amazon when you use their price check app!

This is good today only and I just used it to get the last three things in my Amazon cart for Christmas.  I had been watching this Dinosaur Train Toy (Bug asked for it from Santa) and it hasn’t budged in price for WEEKS.  So I decided that a 5% discount was better than nothing so I grabbed it and two other items I was saving to get together so I could take advantage of FREE Super Saver Shipping!  I save 5% on each item (the other two were already on sale too!)

Amazon has launched an update to their price check app for the iPhone and the Android. When you are shopping in a store (like Walmart, Target, etc), you can check Amazon’s prices instantly by scanning barcodes, using your camera, dictating the item or just typing in what you want.   It’s good for you because you know if you’re getting the best price and it’s good for Amazon because they can keep their prices competitve!

And today December 10th only, Amazon is offering a 5% discount (up to $5 in savings) on select items in electronics, toys, sports, music and DVDs when you check any price usingthe app. You can do this up to 3 times on December 10th and save up to $15.

It says 5% off select items – I had two toys and a DVD and it was applicable on all of them.  Make sure you allow “location services” for this deal to work (you can turn it off afterwards).  I searched for each of the items I wanted from the app.  Checked the prices and added the item to my cart (with the 5% discount offered!) right from my phone.  And I could’ve checked out right on my phone but was also able to complete check out on my computer and the 5% discount was still there.
