Donating School Supplies

I got 3 packs of free pens this weekend from Publix and Target.  I’ll be getting some of the 9c folders at Walgreens this week as filler items.

But I don’t have a kid in school yet (and I can only use so many pens!)

So what can you do with school supplies that you can get for FREE?

Donate them!

Don’t know how?  Just call your local school.  If they can’t take them directly, they can probably tell you who can.

And everyone knows at least one teacher.  Ask him/her if they can use them.  Many teachers buy extra school supplies out of their own pocket to have on hand for the students who don’t have the proper supplies (usually because they can’t afford them.)

My church takes up school supply donations for the foster children in the county.  So I give to that.

A lot of my free school supplies this year are going to my Operation Christmas Child challenge.  Pens, pencils, crayons, etc, top the list of items to included in the shoeboxes!

Isn’t it great to be able to help others through couponing?
