Paying it Forward at a chance to win $50!

This post was written by Madame Deals. She is the one that challenged me to see what $5 can do. See what she and the other bloggers have done with their $5 as well!

Are you having a bad day, week, year? What if you had the power to change your situation?
The only difference between bad and good is perception. If you were given $5.00 could you make a big impact on some one? What would you do? I was given $50 with the mission to make an impact. I thought how can you make the biggest impact on the most people. I thought well pass it on. I took my $50 and I asked 9 of my friends to join me in my quest to help others. Why? I believe if you do something for someone else it changes how you feel. It makes your day better and brighter. If you have one rock it makes a splash if you throw several stones in from all directions you make a wave. I wanted to create a wave of change. Do you pay it forward? Can you? What would you do if you had the chance but not the change? Well at Madame Deals we believe in Making Dollar$ out of Change. Change the way you think, change what you do, and change someones life on thought, action, and endeavor at a time.

What did we do on just $5 each?

Here is my story.

Madame Deals (Amee)- I thought about what am I good at? I am good at motivating people. I am a teacher by trade and a mom to three lively children. I have always taught the children that were left behind and I change their perception of what they could do. I had the detention bound children coming to school early to study. How? I taught them to believe that what they do matters. Who they are matters and that education is important. Education changes your situation a single book, class, or conversation can change your course in life.

What kind of basket would I make with just $5? I wanted to make a basket for the women who are on bed rest waiting for their little ones to arrive. It was a year ago that I was on bed rest waiting for our third child. I never felt so helpless in my life. I couldn’t take care of my other children and I couldn’t leave my hospital bed. I also couldn’t determine the fate of the baby inside me. He was born and then taken after about 5 minutes to the NICU. I was so upset because I had waited so long to have him and he was taken away. I soon realized that I was the lucky one a lot of the babies didn’t make it out of the NICU. Their parent had to go through more than I did. It reminded me to look beyond myself and look at ways I could help others.

I am still collecting for my basket so I will post my picture soon. I have baby washes, pacifiers, nursing cover, and books and movies, I am working on gathering some beauty products for the moms while they are on bed rest.

I challenged my fellow bloggers to help out. I gave them each $5 out of my $50 gift card and here is what they did.
