I honestly don’t know what it’s like to have and extra $200 that I can frivolously spend. But if I DID have $200 to frivolously spend, I would spend it on this:
Yes, that is the 24 boxed set – 8 seasons plus the 2 hour made for TV movie 24: Redemption plus a bonus disc of stuff that only comes with the boxed set. It’s $200 at Amazon, which is apparently a significant discount off the list price of $350!!!!
Keep dreaming, right? Somehow..someway…I am going to get this and I’m NOT going to pay full price for it because I don’t pay full price for anything! Patience is the key!!
Good for you to keep being patient! I've never seen 24 but I've heard it's really good. Won't it be nice when one day we can afford to drop $200 on whatever we want? Not that we'll do it cause we're so good and frugal, but it'll be nice to know it's an option one day, right? :-)
I have not bought a movie in 4 years. I have never bought a TV series on DVD. Clearly, with a 2 year old now, we buy kid videos. But there are very few movies I feel like I would watch enough to justify buying it. And TV series boxed sets are so expensive! Why would anyone want to buy them???
So, with all that said…
If I could, I would by 24 right now. It was THAT good! We never watched it when it was on TV. But Hubs started watching it on Netflix in September. He talked me into watching it. We watched EIGHT seasons in FOUR months. And, honestly, I want to watch them all over again! :)
