Here is what I got at Publix Saturday. Not pictured is two 12pks of Mt. Dew (so keep that in mind when I tell you how much I paid for it all!)
Before I tell you, take a look. Get a number in your head. Think hard because I really want to blow you away! :))) Don’t forget the two 12 packs of Mt. Dew too (those things are regularly $5 at Publix anyway!)
Okay, here’s how it breaks down:
Shelf Cost: $53.03
Discounts (sales): $17.20
Coupons: $26.52
Tax: $2.04
Final cost to me: $11.35
Savings rate of 82%!!!
I also went to Winn-Dixie Saturday. It wasn’t a great trip but I wanted the meal deal and they had BOGO sales on Old El Paso stuff (we love Taco Night!). I spent $38.05, saved $31.41. I bought the wrong chicken (not the ones that were on BOGO), they are still out of an item I got a raincheck on 2 weeks ago (I had to get a raincheck on my raincheck) and the cashier tried to argue with me about one of my coupons I was using with the Meal Deal (“But you’re getting it free.” “Yes, I know but unless something has changed since last week you’re supposed to take the coupon.”) So, I left Winn-Dixie in a frump for the third time out the last four that I’ve been there. Maybe I need to switch to Publix for a while??? :)))
