If you will allow me to be deep and opinionated for a moment…
I think many times we lose sight of what today is about as it has become known simply as “the 4th of July”. The 4th of July is just a date… same as the 3rd of October or 17th of January.
INDEPENDENCE DAY however, is a holiday.
So I hope, between the BBQs and pools, picnics and sun, ice cream and fireworks, that you would take time to remember the holiday, not just the date.
A big thank you to everyone who has served and is serving our country so that we can celebrate this holiday.
