National PI day is coming on 3/14/25! Get it? Pi is 3.14? So, a lot of places are having fun with the pi/pie similarity and are offering deals on both pie and pizza (you know, “pizza pie”).
The number π is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, commonly approximated as 3.14159. It has been represented by the Greek letter “π” since the mid-18th century, though it is also sometimes spelled out as “pi“.
March 14th is also Albert Einstein’s Birthday. That’s an interesting fact to store away.
March 14th is also National Children’s Craft Day and I have a separate list of ideas for that day here.

On March 14, 2024, California Pizza Kitchen is offering an Original BBQ Chicken Pizza, pepperoni or traditional cheese pizza for just $3.14. The offer is valid for dine-in only with a purchase of $25 or more in food and non-alcoholic beverages (excluding tax and gratuity) for CPK Rewards members from 3/13 to 3/14.
