National PI day is coming on 3/14/23! Get it? Pi is 3.14? So, a lot of places are having fun with the pi/pie similarity today and offering deals on both pie and pizza (you know, “pizza pie”).
The number π is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, commonly approximated as 3.14159. It has been represented by the Greek letter “π” since the mid-18th century, though it is also sometimes spelled out as “pi“.
March 14th is also Albert Einstein’s Birthday. That’s an interesting fact to store away.
