I was provided a free Spoof game to review with my family. All opinions are my own.

It’s been a tradition of ours for the last couple years to play a game at the holidays. The “kids” are getting bigger (we have one legal adult and four teenagers now! Only two are still under 12!) I am generally tasked with bringing something new to the holiday table. This year, Spoof was it! We gathered around the table at Thanksgiving after the dishes were cleared to give Spoof a try.

We had an absolute blast. We laughed until we cried. We had some fierce competitiveness going on. It was a grand time. We had ages 8 to 48 playing and everyone was having great time. The game says ages 10 and up but “younger can play by teaming up with an adult”. We had an 8 year old playing and he needed minimal help. So I wouldn’t discount it if you have 8-9 year olds for family game night. They should catch on quick.

We tried to decide what other games it is most like and answers like Apples to Apples and Balderdash were thrown around with a Trivial Pursuit mashup. So if your family enjoys those games, this just might be the next one you need to play. But don’t worry, you don’t have to be a trivia master to play because the point is to MAKE UP the answers!
