Looking for a SPLASHING good time around Birmingham, Alabama? Have you been to Alabama Splash Adventure? If you haven’t, listen up, I’m going to tell you everything you need to know.

What do you need to know about Alabama Splash Adventure?
- Alabama Splash Adventure is conveniently located on I-20 in Bessemer, just a few minutes west of Birmingham.
- Alabama Splash Adventure is TWO parks in ONE. There’s the theme park side with rides and the water park side where you can cool off! Check out all the attractions here.
- The park is open DAILY thru September 6th. Hours vary, check the schedule here.
- The park loads on the FREEBIES! Yes, you get freebies with admission!
All Guests entering the park will ALWAYS receive the following for free:
- FREE Parking! Start your visit off right and that includes free parking every day!
- FREE Unlimited Soft Drinks at Pepsi Oasis stations throughout the park
- FREE Use of Inner Tubes! Enjoy the lazy river and other attractions on one of the many inner tubes in the park.
- FREE Use of Life Jackets! Guests who are just learning to swim or are not quite comfortable in the water are invited to wear one of the provided Coast Guard approved life jackets during their visit to the Water Park. (Life jackets available on a first come, first serve basis)
- FREE Shows!
Yes, once you get past the admission gate, the only thing NOT free is food from the concession stands and locker rentals. You are allowed to exit the park (get a stamp at the gate first) and come back in so you can pack a picnic in a cooler and leave it in your car. We have done this before! Also, I find it worth it to spring for a locker rental. That way I get to enjoy the park too without having to watch all the stuff.
G is over the moon excited to head back this year! Especially with the addition of the new Rocket Racer Slide! Personally, my favorite attraction is the lazy river. There are attractions for the biggest of big kids down to small slides and splash pad areas for the littles!

I prefer water slides! At Alabama Splash adventure, the black & white ones are out favorite. Spring Valley Beach in blount county used to have concrete in ground slides that you had to wear a helmet on. They were the best, but people literally left in ambulances from those slides. They replaced then a few years ago. 😂
