National Son’s Day September 28, 2020

So I looked it up and National Sons Day is a thing (inasmuch as any of these National Days are a “thing”). It’s on September 28th every year (following National Daughter’s Day on September 27th.)

And if you didn’t know, I am the mother of exactly one son.

I spent the better part of 24 years imagining what I would do with the daughters I was going to have. I imagine God got a pretty good chuckle out of that. My world was turned upside down when I found out BLUE would be my future.
I wouldn’t change a thing about it. A SON is absolutely what I was meant to have and I have enjoyed this boy mom journey way more than anything I had ever dreamed up.
This kid is my side-kick. My book-reading, theatre-loving, road-tripping, roller coaster-riding, karate-kicking, kitchen helper.  His heart is tender, his body is tough, his imagination is wild and his dreams are big.

Let’s hear it for our sons!  Be sure to show appreciation for your boys today and go ahead and brag on them a little bit!
