Cinco de Mayo Take Out Deals and Savings – May 5, 2020

Cinco de Mayo is on it’s way!  Ole!

Although it looks a bit different this year, that’s for sure. For example, I had wanted to be able to share this meme this year:

I mean, Cinco de Mayo, ON Taco Tuesday!  It’s going to be YEARS before this happens again.

And instead, THIS is the meme that will be going around:

Cinco de Mayo is celebrated annually to honor the day in 1862 when the Mexican army defeated France at the Battle of Puebla, during the Franco-Mexican War. Contrary to popular belief, the occasion does not commemorate Mexican independence, as this occurred more than 50 years prior.  Cinco de  Mayo is more popular in the US than it is in Mexico – true story.  And just like how everyone gets to be Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, on May 5, 2020, everyone gets to be Hispanic!

Here are some places you can get some specials on the fifth of May.  Of course, it’s all delivery or carry-out this year.

I’m a big fan of these Homemade Chicken Taquitos.  And personally, I think *I* make the best guacamole!
