Looking for what is open and what is closed on Memorial Day 2019?
Well, don’t expect to get anything done at the bank, or to find mail in your mailbox or someone at the post office to weigh your package. If your trash day is Monday, expect it to be a day late this week. And if your library books are overdue, you’ll have to pay for one more day. But there aren’t many places closed on Memorial Day.
If you’re in the mood for shopping or eating out, you’re in luck, major retailers and restaurants do not close on Memorial Day. Some places may be closing early so just make sure you do your shopping before dinner.
- ALDI – closed (a limited number may be open but that’s the exception and not the rule)
- Costco – Costco stores are traditionally closed on Memorial Day
Stores that may close early:
- Chick-fil-A
- Publix
- Winn-Dixie
- Pharmacies inside CVS, Rite-Aid, Target and Walgreens.
