Veteran’s Day 2016 Freebies and Discounts
Thank you, Veterans! Here’s where you can go for discounts and freebies on Veteren’s Day, November 11, 2016. I will update it if I find more!
As with anything, these deals are subject to participation. All locations should be participating but you could run up on one that is not. Calling ahead is recommended.
Restaurants:
Applebees:
Veteran’s Eat FREE on November 11th. Find a location.
Friday, November 11, Chevys Fresh Mex will offer all active and retired military personnel a complimentary item from their special Veterans Day Menu.
The Veterans Day menu includes items such as Mesquite Grilled Chicken or Steak Fajitas, Chipotle Chicken Enchiladas, Crispy Chicken Flautas, a 2-item Combo or Surf n’ Turf. Guests are encouraged to dine in uniform or bring identification.
Chevys also offers a year round 20% discount to all military veterans.
Chili’s:
A Free Entree for Veterans and Active Military Personnel from the Veterans Day Menu. This year Chili’s has a special Veterans Day menu for their free meal. These are your choices:
- Oldtimer with Cheese
- Soup & Salad
- Chicken Crispers
- Chipotle Chicken
- Margherita Flatbread
Proof of service required.
On November 11th from 3pm to close go to Chipotle with your U.S. Military ID for Buy 1 Get 1 Free Burrito, Bowl, Salad or Order of Tacos. This offer is valid for all U.S. Military (Active Duty, Reserves, National Guard, and Retired Military), Military Spouses with ID and Veterans. Note that there is a limit of one free menu item per U.S. military ID and valid for in-restaurant orders only – not valid for online, mobile, fax, or catering orders.
On Veterans Day, November 11, all military veterans receive a complimentary slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola® Cake in thanks for their service. Dine in only.
Denny’s
At participating locations nationwide, diners with a valid military ID will receive a complimentary Build Your Own Grand Slam®, which includes four delicious breakfast items such as new fluffy Buttermilk Pancakes, eggs cooked to order, sizzling bacon strips, seasonal fruit or hash browns. Friday, 11/11, 5am to noon.
Monday, November 14th from 5-9pm is Military Appreciation Night. Who is eligible for the free “thank you” dinner? Any person who has served in the US Military (retirees, veterans, active duty, National Guard or Reserves).
IHOP will be giving away a FREE Stack of Red, White, and Blue Pancakes for all veterans and active military duty from 7AM-7PM! You’ll need to present your military ID or other proof of your military service. Go here for full details.

Ruby Tuesday’s:
Free Appetizer (up to $10 value) for veterans, active duty and reserve service members with valid military ID. 11/11/16 only. One appetizer per ID. Not valid with any other coupons.
California Pizza Kitchen – Veterans and active military receive a free pizza on Monday, Nov. 11.
Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse Eat Free
Veterans and active-duty military eat free on Monday, 11.11.13. Valid ID required or in uniform or photo in uniform.
Cheeseburger in Paradise
On Monday, November 11 get a complimentary All-American Burger with fries to active and retired military personnel. Dine in only and must purchase a beverage and present proof of service.
Chili’s – Veterans and active duty can get a free entrée all day from a special limited menu on Monday, Nov. 11.
Denny’s – Active, inactive and retired military personnel can get free all you can eat pancakes on Veterans Day nationwide.

Shoney’s:
Free All-American Burger to veterans and active duty service members. Dine-in only, Proof of Service required. Shoney’s also offers a 15% everyday hometown heroes discount (military, fire, Police, EMT).
Free lunch to veterans and active duty military. There are 10 entrees to choose from, and it includes a non-alcoholic drink.
Golden Corral Free Meal
Monday November 11th from 4 PM to 9 PM get a free Veterans Day buffet and beverage to any veteran who has served in the United States military or is a current active duty service member. All Golden Corral locations will be participating. No identification is required to get your free Veterans day meal.
Hooters –Veterans and active duty military receive a free meal on Monday, Nov. 11.

Retail:
Great Clips Free Haircut
On Veterans Day, November 11, military members can come in and get a free haircut or to pick up a free haircut card to use any day before the end of the year, 12/31/2016. Customers who also come in for a haircut at any U.S. Great Clips salon will receive a free haircut card to give to an active/inactive/retired military member of any branch, including the National Guard.
Home Depot 10% Discount:
The 10% military discount is available everyday for active duty and retirees, but not all veterans. On major military holidays, including Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and 4th of July the offer is extended to ALL veterans.
Publix:
All veterans, military personnel, and their families are invited to save 10% on groceries on November 11.
Sports Clips Free Haircut
Many Sport Clips locations will offer free haircuts to active-duty U.S. service members and veterans on Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, 2016, with valid proof of service. For a list of participating stores, click here. Please contact your local Sport Clips for more information.
