This time of the year is so busy. I often time find myself run down and worn out. As much as I love the holiday season, it’s easy to forget to take care of myself. One way I keep a healthy lifestyle is to fill myself with good foods in the morning. I’ve noticed such a difference in my life since I’ve started having fresh/frozen fruits and veggies for breakfast – yes veggies for breakfast! Sugary, starchy pastries, muffins and cereals were only temporarily satisfying and would leave me crashing long before lunch time.
And now, Emergen-C has provided me with another way to support my healthy lifestyle. Emergen-C is an easy and delicious way to take vitamins that are important to my healthy lifestyle. And with 7 B Vitamins to enhance energy naturally* without caffeine, I feel even more refreshed when I drink Emergen-C. I have found that a packet of Emergen-C Super Fruit is a great addition to my morning green smoothie! (Full recipe at the end of the post!)
Emergen-C is packed with B vitamins, antioxidants†, electrolytes plus more vitamin C than 10 oranges^. 1,000 mg of Vitamin C plus other antioxidants Zinc and Manganese support your immune system*. With over 20 flavors, you have plenty of delicious varieties to choose from.
The first step to adding Emergen-C to your daily routine is purchasing it!
It wasn’t too hard. At my local Walgreens it’s located on the same aisle as the pharmacy on the same shelf as the nutritional supplements. Try there first but if you can’t find it, a friendly Walgreens employee should be able to help. The employees at my store are always so nice!
For me, it was easy to add the Emergen-C Super Fruit Pomegranate Power to my already delicious and healthy favorite Green Smoothie. Here’s my recipe:
- One Banana
- Six Strawberries (I cut of the tops and slice them up before putting them in the blender)
- A handful of Spinach
- 8oz of Orange Juice
- One packet of Emergen-C Super Fruit Pomegranate Power.
*If you use all fresh (not frozen) ingredients you will have a more juice like drink and less like a smoothie. For the smoothie in the picture I used frozen spinach. In the event that I have fresh spinach to use, I would opt for frozen strawberries. If you have all fresh ingredients, adding a couple ice cubes will give you the frozen smoothie effect. If you prefer it juicier – go with all fresh, no frozen ingredients.
I added the packet of Emergen-C to the orange juice and stirred it up so it would be well dissolved. I put the bananas, strawberries and spinach in the blender and poured the Emergen-C/Orange Juice blend on top.
Blend and voila! Delicious, refreshing and healthy!

I love adding veggies to my morning routine too! It sounds funny but greens can be easily added to smoothies without sacrificing taste! #client
I know! I tell my husband all the time that you don’t TASTE the spinach!
