Family Christian: Valentine’s Gifts for Everyone!

familychristiangifts2

I was challenge by Family Christian to make a Valentine’s gift basket that’s out of the ordinary.  No chocolates, no roses, and not for my spouse.  Wait, what?  Isn’t Valentine’s Day all about romance?

It doesn’t have to be!  Love is love and I should show my love to my spouse every day. Plus, mine and Hubs wedding anniversary is February 18th, so if we’re going to celebrate something in February, it’s going to be our anniversary (11 years this year!)

Instead, I was challenged to make a gift of love and encouragement for another mother.  Because, let’s face it, us moms need all the encouragement we can get!  And usually Moms are the ones that are making the Valentine’s Day plans, making the Valentine’s meals and goodies and making sure the children have the appropriate Valentine’s cards/candy/snacks for their school celebrations.  It would be nice to receive a little something special ourselves.

So I thought about who I want to give my gift basket too.  And I kept that person in mind while I shopped.

Now, Family Christian doesn’t actually sell baskets – so this wasn’t going to be a one stop gift shop UNTIL I found the PRAY BIG tote bag.  And let me tell you, it’s BIG.  And it’s more useful than a basket.  It can double as part of the gift and the gift bag!  (They do sell actual gift bags with tissue paper in them so it CAN be a one stop gift shop if you’re looking for a regular gift bag!)

Now that the “gift container” dilemma was solved, it was time to shop for the meat of the gift.  So I started thinking about my gift recipient and about different parts of her day.  The first thing I thought of was coffee and quiet time.

Family Christian always has a wide variety of coffee cups and mugs with inspirational and uplifting quotes and Scripture on them.  And you can usually find some for $5 or less.  The one I got was $4.99!    If the person you’re shopping for loves coffee you can purchase a mug and pair it with a bag of their favorite coffee (or box of their favorite K-Cups!)

The next thing I chose was the Choose Love: A Mother’s Blessing 2016 Planner in which she can keep important dates and get encouragement each time she opens it through Scriptures, reflections and devotions through out the planner.   I also picked up a bookmark to use with the planner so she can always find her place.

Then I grabbed a pretty notepad and pen because I know she has a lot to keep up with.

I got the “Believe” wall plaque.  It can sit on a shelf or be hung on the wall.

I also know that my gift recipient is not prone to spoiling herself.  So lastly I wanted to pick out a new shirt for her.  Family Christian always has some great t-shirts in fun colors with Scriptures and sayings on them.

Love Never Fails t-shirt $9.99

I picked the Love Never Fails t-shirt because it’s exactly like something she would wear.  I guess this is the most “Valentines-ish” item I got!   You can shop all of Family Christian’s Apparel and Accessory Items here.

And lastly, I couldn’t forget a card!  Family Christian even carries cards for every occasion so you can grab a card for whatever kind of gift you are shopping for!  The card I got says “Some people just amaze me…..and by ‘some people’ I mean you!”

You can shop Family Christian in store or ONLINE for the gifts that you need!
