So, I woke up one day last week with WAY too many gray hairs. I needed to do something about that QUICK. I just so happened that I found some clearance hair color at Walgreens in a color I LOVED. And it was just $2! Even without a coupon with me, that was a great deal so I bought a box.
When I purchased it, the Catalina machine spit out a coupon for $3 off 2 Garnier haircolor. I didn’t think much of it because I was in a hurry that day and there weren’t that many boxes of haircolor back there on the clearance shelf.
So, Friday I dyed my hair (it’s Garnier #76 – Hot Tamale – in case you’re curious) and over the weekend I got SO Many compliments.
So today I was at a different Walgreens and they had a LOT more clearance hair color, including some more Hot Tamale. So I pulled out my $3/2 coupon (excuse the bad picture) and bought two more.
Well, when I got to the checkout, the Catalina machine spit out a $3/3 Garnier hair color coupon. I just couldn’t resist. I said, “I’ll be right back” and went and grabbed three more boxes.
And of course, when I bought those three I got another $3/3 coupon from the Catalina machine. But I stopped. I figured six boxes would last me a while!
So, here’s how it breaks down.
First purchase (not in the picture because I’ve already used it) – 1 box @ $2.00
Second purchase – 2 boxes minus $3/2 coupon =$1.00
Third purchase – 3 boxesminus $3/3 coupon = $3.00
Total = 6 boxes for $6.00
So the moral of this story is, if you need haircolor – GO TO WALGREENS!
Grab a box of clearance Garnier and hopefully the purchase will trigger a coupon print! Just remember, only get one box in your first purchase to get the coupon! Then use the coupon on the next (and the next, and the next as many times as you want to do it!)
I really hope no one lied to me about how much they liked the color on me…. :D
Be sure to grab these Walgreens deals while you’re there too.
