Beginning in August, the US Postal Service will no longer deliver mail to your mailbox on Saturdays.
The will however still deliver packages, Express Mail or Priority Mail. Supposedly the changes will save $2 Billion a year.
How do you feel about it? I think it’s going to be an adjustment for a lot of people. I know I do a lot of my budgeting and bill writing on Friday afternoons and stick them in the mailbox for the postman to pick up on Saturday morning. I’ll have to change the day I write my bills or make an actual trip to the post office if I need them to go out on Saturday to make it to their destination in time. (and NO I don’t like paying my bills online. I like writing the checks and mailing them.)
But, if it means postage will stop going up, I’m all for it. However, I do think that I’m going to start buying extra forever stamps when I go to the post office and stashing them away so if it does go up again, I’ll have plenty.
