Copy Kids DVD Review and Giveaway
I was interested in trying this DVD to see if the concept really worked. Let your kid watch other kids eating vegetables and smiling and laughing and having fun so that THEY will want to eat their vegetables because it looks like a fun thing to do!
The DVD has segments broken down into different fruits and vegetables. Each segment shows a few kids eating the fruit or vegetable that is the topic of that segment. I let Bug pick what he wanted to watch. He picked Broccoli, Carrots, Apples, and Strawberries.
After watching, he decided he wanted to try broccoli because “it looked like trees” and you could “break it off” (the kid in the clip had a big bunch of broccoli and was breaking of pieces to eat). So the next day when we went to the store, we strolled through the produce section and pointed out the different fruits and vegetables we saw on the video. Then we got to the broccoli and he said, “Oh, yeah, that’s what I want!” So I let him examine a couple different bunches of broccoli because he wanted to “pick the right one.” Once he was satisfied with his selection, we bought it and took it home.
That night at dinner I served him his broccoli (the whole bunch, just like the kid in the video because he wanted to break it off like the kid was doing.) Now mind you, two years ago he would EAT broccoli but the past year or so we have been going through a TERRIBLE picky phase. So he broke a few pieces off and nibbled on them. All in all he probably took about 5 bites and declared he didn’t like it and hasn’t touched it since. BUT at least he tried it. So it’s a win in that department. I hope he will continue to try things he sees on the Copy Kids DVD. He seems to enjoy the video and actually asked to watch it a couple times.
Copy Kids has offered me a DVD to give away so you can try it for yourself. If you’ve got a picky eater, this may just be the thing you need to get them to try new foods.
Giveaway ends 2/19/13 at 11:59pm cst. Winner will be notified at the email provided on the giveaway form and given 48 hours to claim their prize before a new winner is selected.

My one-year-old loves broccoli!
They love fruit especially bananas. Having a hard time getting them to eat their veggies.
My son loves just about anything, not a big fan of peppers though.. he’s also 16. I think this would be a great video for children who have oral issues and /or autism. Great way to show some social skills.

I must be lucky because mine eat all fruit and vegetables except brussel sprouts. Their favorite is soy beans which they call jumping beans. We had a jumping bean toy in a box and they know that soy beans look nothing like it, so I don’t know why they call them jumping beans.
My son loves grapes and raisins, my daughter loves broccoli and carrots and green beans
All three of my children will miraculously eat broccoli. I actually disliked it as a child which surprises me that they love it. Now all the other vegetables, we need a lot of work with.
