This didn’t get done yesterday, but we actually did quite a lot on Pinterest last week. Mostly inside stuff because it was so.stinkin.hot. But I hear it’s like that everywhere! So…where to begin?
I’ve been on Pinterest for a while and I have some great ideas buried waaaay down at the bottom of some of my boards. I went all the way to the bottom of my scrapbooking board and found this “kid’s quotes in a jar” idea. I immediately stopped what I was doing and found a jar and some scraps of colored cardstock and started this jar. But says so many funny things I didn’t want to miss another one! In fact, just from memory, I came up with 10 funny things to start in my jar. I love this idea!
I was at the thrift store yesterday and they had a whole shelf of three ring binders for $0.25 each and I was thinking, “There’s something I need a binder for.” But I couldn’t remember what. And then I saw this pin: Birthday card binders – and then I remembered. So that’s on my list to start this week! I never know what to do with greeting cards. I’ve tried putting them in my scrapbooks and when you have a LOT it’s really hard. So, now I need to go back to the thrift store and gobble up those $0.25 binders!
I pinned a few things to the Summer Board, like these easy indoor games using masking tape and few other common items. Because, like I said, it’s so.stinkin.hot. And one of our favorites, playing in shaving cream. Which is actually a better outside activity unless you have a nice, mess-friendly, easy-to-clean play room. But if you do it outside you can jump in the pool or hose off to clean up afterwards. :)
I also pinned a firecracker craft using a pool noodle and some basic supplies if you want something for the kids to do for the Fourth this week.
I was not very adventurous with recipes this week. I made Beefaroni Casserole and that was about it.
I started a new board called Cool Products. The only thing on it right now is the Letter Learning Kids Education Cards but you should check it out, because there’s a giveaway to go along with it.
I also found out how to clean your air conditioning unit to make it more effective. That’s on the Saving Money board.
And instead of a funny pin of the week. Here’s one of remembrance:
