I didn’t really set out to do this. But I had shopped at Aldi and Publix one day and when I got home, I realized I had spent close to the same amount at both stores. So I decided to stack everything up and see what $50 at Aldi looked like against $50 at Publix (with coupons of course!)
On the left is $51.36 from Aldi. And on the right is $55.14 at Publix.
At Aldi I got 29 items for $51.36. Highlights include: pizza, frozen snacks, bananas, grapes, chips, soup, trash bags, hot dogs, bologna and pudding.
At Publix, I got 38 items for $55.14. Highlights include: meat items, breads, milk, yogurt, snack bars, trash bags, mayo, iced coffee, waffles.
Around here, Publix is considered “the expensive grocery store” but I think this picture disproves that. Now, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Aldi. But as you can see, sometimes you CAN save more by using coupons! And you can SAVE at TON at Publix!
