I Did Christmas Shopping Last Week!

Yes, you heard right…Christmas shopping!  I stumbled upon some clearance goods at Target and (of all places) Winn-Dixie last week.  Some of it is for upcoming birthday’s too.  And there are even a few items for Operation Christmas Child. Here’s what I racked up and why:

Starting at the top left corner –

Fisher Price toy clearanced at Target for $11.05 (for my nephew’s upcoming first birthday)
Polly Pockets $5.79 each, used $5/2 Polly Pocket Item printable coupon and paid just $6.58 for both.  Setting aside for some of the nieces for Christmas.
Moon Dough packets $1.32 each on clearance.  I got two to put back for Bug’s stocking and two to use in OCC donation boxes.

The rest of the items came from Winn-Dixie’s Bargain Book Bin.  I usually glance at this every time I go past it, but at $3-$6 the books aren’t quite a “bargain” for me.  But last week, all the bargain bin books were HALF OFF.  So I dug through that bin like a madwoman, I tell you.

Here’s what I surfaced with (working clockwise from top right corner):

FOUR various Disney princess books including on that is a board book shaped like a carriage with working wheels, a princess puzzle book, and a Tangled book that contains a light-up hair clip.  $8 for all 4.

TWO Ballerina Trinket boxes with charm bracelet and charms.  One is going in OCC donations and one is going in gift closet.  $3 for both.

THREE Disney Sticker Books – Two Tinkerbell and one Cars.  Cars one is going up for Bug birthday/Christmas and the Tinkerbell ones are going in the gift closet.  $4.50 for all 3.

TWO Shuffle Stories card sets.  One is going to OCC and one is going to the gift closet.  $3.00 for both.

THREE Various books – Curious George, So Many Days and a Tinkerbell chapter book.  Setting aside chapter book for my oldest niece’s birthday.  Other two for Bug or gift closet.  $5 for all three.

TWO Disney Picture Puzzle books – One for Bug birthday/Christmas and one for gift closet.  $6.00 for both.

My total was $29.50.  Tossed in a candy bar at checkout so I could use a $5/$30 Winn-Dixie coupon.  Total for 16 items was $24.50 or just $1.54 per item.
