Money Saving Tip: Homemade Fabric Refresher Spray (better than Febreze!)

I have never liked the smell of those fabric refresher sprays, they smelled chemical-y, “forced” or just overpowering.

After Bug was born, my Dad gifted me the services of his cleaning lady for a couple months (best.gift.ever.) and every time she left my house, it smelled amazing.  Not just clean, but AMAZING.  Like clean, sun dried laundry, a meadow of wildflowers and fluffy clouds.  Seriously.

So one day I asked her.  And she told me.  Equal parts Suavitel Liquid Fabric Softener and water in a cleaned out spray bottle.

Spray it on your couch, rugs, carpet, curtains.  And enjoy the best smelling house you’ve ever had!

I’ve never tried it with any other fabric softener, but I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work.  But Suavitel is fairly inexpensive, which is probably why the cleaning lady used it.
