These were so simply to make and SO yummy! I love when an idea comes together. :) God bless Hubs too for always trying my “creations”, fortunately this one got the seal of approval!
Pizza Pita Pockets
Ingredients:
- Pitas
- Jar Pizza Sauce
- Sliced Pepperoni
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Cut pitas in half. Spread pizza sauce inside pitas. Sprinkle a little cheese down into the bottoms of the pitas. Add a layer of pepperonis inside the pita. Toss in a little more cheese.
Placed stuffed pitas on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 3-5 minutes. Just long enough to melt the cheese and make the pitas a little crispy.
Serve with a salad on the side for a complete meal!
This is a fun one to let the kids help make too! (And fun for them to eat!)
Additional fillers: chopped black olives, canadian bacon, diced onion and/or bellpepper. Just don’t stuff them too full!
