Here’s a great new book from the Chicken Soup Series: Chicken Soup for the Soul: Food and Love!
Not only is it chock full of the stories you expect in a Chicken Soup book, it also contains recipes! This truly is a great book for anyone who loves to be in the kitchen! (Might make a good Mother’s Day gift?)
I can’t wait to try the Cream Cheese Chicken and Whole Grain Applesauce muffins!
The only thing I would’ve liked to have seen in this book is an index of the recipes or have them included in the table of contents. There’s no listing of the recipes telling you what pages to find them on. I know, that’s a trivial complaint, right? ;)
Buy it: Buy Chicken Soup for the Soul: Food and Love at Amazon for $10.91 or download it to your Kindle for $9.99. Both versions are originally $14.95 – so they are on sale right now!
WIN it! I’m giving away THREE copies of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Food and Love! Here’s how to enter:

It’s that simple! Good Luck!
The recipe that I love to make is my Mom’s taco casserole! It is so easy and yummy. I love making it for my family because I have memories of eating it at home when I was younger! What you do is roll out 1 can of crescent rolls, add 1lb ground beef mixed with taco sauce. Then you top with sour cream and mozzarella and cheddar cheese. When 5 minutes are left, you crush Nacho Doritos on top and bake the rest of the 5 minutes. It is great reheated just add more sour cream and Doritos!!
That sounds like something my husband would LOVE!

Green & Creamy enchiladas: Shredded chicken breast slathered in green onions, green chiles, seasonings and a can of Campbell’s mushroom soup. The chicken breast is rolled into flour tortillas, topped with the leftover cream mix, sprinkled with the right amount of cheese and baked.
The recipe only makes 10 but if you use the right tortillas, two can be enough to fill you up. I love making this recipe because when your family looks forward to it and you’re the only one that knows how to make it – you’re the greatest (at least until the pan is emptied).
Sounds delicious! I might have to try that one!
I love to make spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna with french bread.

I like baking anything chocolate. I love Pioneer Woman recipes. I like to make cake pops too.
I already like you on FB, but one of the recipes I love is Shepperd’s Pie. It’s ground beef, corn (or green beans), canned tomatoes, then mashed potatoes on the top with shredded cheese. Pop it into the oven and it’s so gooey when you eat it, it’s yummy. I grew up with it and have made it throughout our marriage enough that my husband has learned how to make it. Yummy :)

I love to make spaghetti and meatballs, classic comfort food. The meatballs are simple ground meat and seasonings, and I cook them in the oven instead of frying. I use canned sauce and add a bunch more spices and such to knock up the flavors; and whole wheat pasta to make it healthier.
