Dating on a Dime – Gym Time!

How long has it been since you and your “other half” were on a date? If you are like me you are sitting there trying to remember. Has it been that long? Seems like everyone is cutting back their spending and trying to save more. But it is so important that we continue some things like spending quality time with our significant other. Not only do we deserve it, we NEED it! Madame Deals and Living on Love and Cents have teamed up to bring you Dating on a Dime. Go here to see the prevous posts.

The time has to come to admit that we often put the one we love most at the end of our million mile long list. We make being in a relationship a chore instead of a wonderful experience. I am trying to remind myself that I am not only a mom but a wife. It is important to nurture your loved one just like you do for your kids. I am taking a moment, a couple of bucks, and some time to plan for a cheap date to bring them together to create a memory that will last long after the date is over.

We belong to a gym. I actually joined the gym because my husband is a runner but his body doesn’t run like it used to. He needed to swim more and run less. I love yoga and childcare so the gym is a great place for us to go as a couple. It is also a great place for us to swim as family. The only problem is we never get to swim by ourselves. I thought why not? We can drop the kids off and go for a dip in the hot tub. Then we can get the kids and take them swimming. I realized my gym allows non-members to buy passes. I think it is a great way to have some fun without breaking the bank.

I say dive in!
