Join me everyday in February as I share ways to save money on just about anything you need, want, use!
Medicine is expensive. But, with proper shopping and planning, you can save on it just like you can save on just about anything else!
OTC (over-the-counter) medications come with a pretty long shelf life. So just because you don’t have a cold right now, doesn’t mean you can buy cold medicines now – because you know, eventually you’ll catch a cold!
When I can find any medication for cheap or free I buy it! I add it to my medicine stockpile. Just pay attention to the expiration dates. When I had the flu a couple months ago, I didn’t have to buy any medicine (other than the prescription antibiotic the doctor called in) because I had cough syrup, cough drops, vapor rub and decongestants. I can only imagine how much I saved because I didn’t have to pick up all those things while I was at the pharmacy!
I have some children’s Triaminic I got for FREE with an expiration date in 2012. With a date that far away, I know it will get used.
