This tradition was a happy accident! My husband bought me the picture frame in the front three Christmas’ ago. I put the picture of us by our tree in the frame and left it out all year.
Last year I bought the frame in the back right. It says Christmas 2009. I put our picture from last year in it. I packed up the first frame with the Christmas decorations and just left the 2009 frame out this past year.
This year I bought a Christmas 2010 frame. I’ll put a picture of us by our tree this year in it. I also got our 08 picture back out. When the Christmas decorations are packed away, I’ll pack up the 08 and 09 pictures and just leave the 2010 picture.
Each year I will get a new frame and it will stay out all year. The previous year’s picture will come out when the decorations do. I think this will make a nice Christmas display as the number of frames grow!
