Saturday’s Saving Tips – Making your own Laundry Detergent

Dede makes her own laundry detergent and for just pennies a load!!!

Here’s what you need:

  • 1 cup borax powder (available at any grocery store in the laundry detergent aisle)
  • 1 cup Arm & Hammer washing soda (I found this at my local grocery store, Reams in the laundry detergent aisle) *Note, this is NOT baking soda!
  • 2/3 bar of laundry soap. (I bought the brand Zote, but you could also buy Fels Naptha or Ivory)
  • OPTIONAL: 1/2 to 1 oz. essential oil for fragrance. (choose what you like!)

To find out how she does it, visit her blog!!

Thanks for sharing it with us Dede!
