Monday’s Money Saving Recipe – Creamed Skillet Porkchops

This recipe is from my mom.  This one and a couple other “simple” recipes got me through my first couple years of cooking dinner for two.  ;)

I call this one Creamed Skillet Porkchops.  She didn’t really have a name for it.

I prefer boneless porkchops but you can really use any kind.  Heat a little oil in a skillet.  Season porkchops with a little salt, pepper and garlic salt.  Cook on both sides until nearly done.

Pour a can of cream of mushroom soup over porkchops and heat through.  (You can also add canned or fresh sliced mushrooms if you want.)

Serve as is or over rice or noodles.

(I’m sure you can see why this was a good recipe for a newlywed new cook!)
