Tell Wal-Mart how you really feel

I really enjoyed this article from A Thrifty Mom.  She explains why she doesn’t shop at or blog about Wal-Mart very much.  And I completely agree with her reasons.

One, is that you really can find better deals.  Now, if you took your shopping list to Wal-Mart and bought your items and then bought identical items at Winn-Dixie and Publix with NO sales and NO coupons, yes, Wal-Mart would be cheaper.  But if you have coupons for everything on your list (that double up to 50c at WD and Publix) and took advantage of BOGO deals at either of the stores you could easily save 50% over what you would pay at Wal-Mart.  Now that’s not to say Wal-Mart doesn’t occasionally have a good deal.  (I’m a fan of Couponing to Disney’s Under $1 Deals at Wal-Mart list)  But I don’t do BIG shopping trips there anymore.  I save that for Winn-Dixie.

The other reason why I don’t shop Wal-Mart often is because of the general feeling most employees have toward coupons and coupon users.  I recently blogged about my not-so-pleasant trip to Wal-Mart.  Unfortunately, here and many other places this is not the exception but the norm.

Well, apparently, Wal-Mart has picked up on these two points.  And they have provided a (short) survey to find out how you feel!  It asks your level of coupon usage, if you’ve ever used coupons at Wal-Mart and how using coupons at Wal-Mart made you feel.  And boy, their answer options sure do get it right!  They covered allllllllll the negative experiences I’ve ever had with using coupons at Wal-Mart.

So make your voice heard and tell Wal-Mart how you really feel!
