Update on $70 challenge

I told you yesterday that I had $70 to spend on groceries for the rest of July.  What I didn’t tell you was that I had already spent part of it.  :]  I didn’t have time last night to get into my purchases.

If you’re a Facebook Fan you may have seen my comment yesterday that I found a RR that was going to expire today so I HAD to use it.  And this week’s sales at Walgreens are…eh…

So here’s what I ended up getting at Walgreens:

• 6 Suave Body Washes (used (2) B2G1 coupons from 7/11 RP)
• Welch’s 64oz grape juice (used 75c coupon)
• 2 Combos (used $1/2 coupon from June All You)

This cost me $2.93 (tax included) and I got $3 RR back from the body washes.

I also stopped at Publix and got:

• 2 Eggo waffles (used $1/2 mfc and $1/2 Publix Q)
• Publix Deli Potato Salad (used $1/deli item Publix Baby Club Q)
• Nabisco Animal Crackers (FREE with Publix Baby Club Q)
• 3 Yoplait Fiber One 4pks (used BOGO raincheck and (3) 50c Qs)

Spent $6.51 tax included.

So I’ve spent $9.44 which leaves me with $60.56 to spend until the end of July!
