We were invited to a birthday party at the Imagination Place in Gadsden, AL. We had never been before, so I was excited for the opportunity to try it out for FREE. :)
This place is great! Especially for toddler and preschool aged kids. (I think the website suggests 10 and under and the older ones would enjoy it – but there’s so little around for the younger age, it’s nice to have found this place!)
There was a fire station with fire hats, jackets and boots to dress up in and a real fireman’s pole to slide down! There is a toddler area with lots of mats and soft toys and climbing things:
There was a hospital (with babies to take care of), a bank, and house with a front porch with chairs and play kitchen. All these things are set up on two sides of the “street” running down the middle.
There was also a grocery store (Piggly Wiggly to be exact) and I think Bug spent most of his time in there. He loves groceries! They had shopping carts, a cash register, and aprons if you wanted to be a grocery store employee. I loved that you could “buy” something at the grocery store and walk across the “street” to take it “home” and “cook” it. :)
There was also a puppet stage, tree fort with two story tube slide, a train table and a construction area:
There was a dress up room, science exhibits for older kids, a “shadow” room, and animal clinic complete with stuffed animals to take care of. This desk was in the animal clinic. How cute!
My child ran himself SILLY in this place. He slept for almost 3 hours after we got home. We will definitely go back to the Imagination Place. Another thing I liked about was the prices. It’s one of the reason why we WILL go back. For a FULL day’s admission, adults are $6, children 3-12 are $5 and 2 and under are FREE! My husband and I could take our son and it would only cost us $12 for all of us! If we were to go to the zoo, ONE person would cost $14!

That looks super fun!! I can't wait until we get to do stuff like that! I guess I'm like a kid at heart when it comes to places like that. I can't believe its that cheap either!!
I know! The only downside for us is the drive. But if you planned your day around other things to do there or on the way up there and make the most out of your time and gas usage then it's not so bad! I want to research more things to do in that area. I loved the downtown section…I love old downtown sections like that.
