Tuesday’s Treat – More Free or Cheap Family Fun/Spring Break Ideas

If you missed last Tuesday’s Treat – it was cheap or free things to do with the family in Birmingham/Central, AL, Atlanta, GA and Chattanooga, TN!!

Today’s Tuesday’s Treat is courtesy of Stockpiling Moms, a list of cheap or free things to do in Cinncinati, OH:

The Cincinnati Fire Museum is great for little ones. It is $7 for adults and $5 for children 6-17. The great bonus is it is FREE for children 5 and under! It is open Tuesday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday Noon – 4:00 PM

Cincinnati Nature Center is free on Mondays! I suggest packing a lunch and spending the day hiking or taking a nature walk, doing a scavenger hunt (available online) or checking out the educational programs.

Gorman Heritage Farm is open Wednesday – Saturday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Sunday Noon – 5:00 PM. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $3 for children ages 3-17. Kids learn about animals and farm machinery. There are lots of educational opportunities and fun. You can take a self guided tour and more!

Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens is one of our favorite places to go! It is open 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM everyday except Christmas. If you have a reciprocal zoo membership you can get in for 1/2 price (plus parking). Pack a sack lunch and spend the day!

Parky’s Farm has a wide variety of activities and fun for the entire family. Pack a lunch and enjoy the day together. You do have to pay to park or can purchase a season parking pass for approximately $5.00.

The Cincinnati Observatory presents free lectures and telescope viewing on most Thursday and Friday evenings. The Observatory is also open for public stargazing one Saturday night per month! Call 513-321-5186 for the current schedule, start times and to register.

The Cincinnati Art Museum offers a variety of free activities including Family First Saturdays from 1:00 – 4:00 PM. and Family Artventures every Saturday at 1:00 PM.

Another idea is to check your local library! The Kenton County Library has a variety of free activities scheduled during spring break week, which are all FREE!
