Swagbucks = Amazon Gift Cards = No OOP on Gifts!

My husband had mentioned a couple weeks ago how he missed his pocket Bible that he lost a few years ago. He still has a bible but he particulary liked this one because he could literally carry it in his back pocket.

After getting over my initial reaction of wanting to choke him…not because he wanted a Bible but because that was the SECOND thing he told me he’d like to have since Christmas. He’s notorious for waiting until after a gift-giving holiday to say “You know what I want?” Even after I spent weeks asking him “What do you want for Christmas/birthday/etc?” and getting an “I don’t know” in reply! But, this is not a marriage blog, so…on to my point. ;)

Our anniversary is on February 18th. It’s the anniversary of our first date (9 years ago) and our wedding (5 years ago) so I thought how perfect to get him a new Bible for our anniversary!

I picked it out on Amazon. It’s the NIV Trimline Bible. It’s burgundy leather bound (the picture is just the box it comes in.) They also have one with a button flap but I think he’ll like the one without it better.

I’m so excited to be getting this for him for our anniversary! (And don’t worry, he doesn’t read my blog so he won’t know it!)
But the point of me sharing this with you, is to tell you that this gift is costing me NOTHING! Zero, Zilch, NADA. Because I’m using my Amazon Gift Cards that I’ve earned through Swagbucks.
Search & Win
Swagbucks is a search engine that rewards you for searching the web. I’ve reset my homepage to Swagbucks so when I open my browser it’s there and I use the search feature just as I would Google or Yahoo search. You win swagbucks for using their search engine. I earn about THREE swagbucks a day just by using their search engine. There are also other ways to get swagbucks. Special Offers, Referrals, Sweepstakes, Free codes that they post on their blog, Facebook or Twitter, etc. You can also trade in old cell phones and video games for swagbucks!
Here are some of the rewards you can get for your swagbucks:
$5 Amazon.com giftcard – 45 swagbucks
$5 Paypal CASH – 70 swagbucks
$10 Starbucks Card – 130 swagbucks
$15 iTunes card – 185 swagbucks
$20 Target E-Card – 220 swagbucks
If it weren’t for Swagbucks and my new “save money” attitude, I would have paid for this gift the same way we always purchase gifts – CREDIT CARD. One of my 2010 goals is to pay off our credit card and start depending on it less for our “extras”. So thank you Swagbucks for heloing me make a step in the right direction!
If you joined Swagbucks today just think about how many Amazon giftcards you could have by Christmas!! And with FREE shipping on orders over $25 it’s a win-win situation! So don’t wait until November and think “Man, I wish I had some extra cash for Christmas. I should’ve spent the last 10 months earning Swagbucks to redeem for Amazon giftcards so I could have more to spend on Christmas gifts without depending on credit!”
