A couple Dollar Tree store in our area have started carrying bread. And since it’s the Dollar Tree and everything is $1 of course the bread is $1 too!
I was in there one day and got a loaf (full-size…just like you’d buy at the grocery store) of Nature’s Own Honey Wheat bread (our favorite in this household) which retails between $2.29ish or more depending on where you shop. I also got a 12 pack of hot dog buns (12!! not 8!).
Both items were within 5 days of their sell by date. I keep bread in a breadbox and it keeps well past it’s date. Some people refrigerate or freeze bread. At $1 each it’s really is a good deal.
As an added bonus, there is a Dollar Tree next to the Food Giant I do a lot of shopping at. And one next to the Winn-Dixie that I frequent. So I don’t have to go out of my way to get a deal!
