Did you hear a collective gasp of shock and horror yesterday morning? It was the entire world receiving the email from Chick-fil-a saying that the cow calendar is retiring. There will be no new calendar for 2019!
From the Chick-fil-a official e-mail:
Congratulations are in order as the Cow Calendar has reached retirement age—in cow years, of course. It’s a bittersweet occasion as we celebrate the past 20 years of steers and say goodbye to a beloved bovine tradition at the end of 2018.
Even though the Cows are retiring their roles as calendar stars, their commitment to celebrating together, spreading joy and having fun is only getting stronger. Rather than hanging on the wall, they’re ready and raring to meet more fans in-person, in our Restaurants and at events in your community.
In anticipation of the calendar’s retirement, we have been upgrading the Chick‑fil‑A One™ experience for you. Very soon, you’ll have a lot more chances to redeem delicious free food rewards using the new-and-improved Chick‑fil‑A One.
Your 2018 Cow Calendar Cards are still active and will be until the end of the year!
All of your 2018 Cow Calendar offers can be accessed by swiping your Cow Calendar card or through the Cow Calendar QR code on Chick‑fil‑A One, which you can find on the app or online. And, as long as you continue scanning and mobile ordering with Chick‑fil‑A One, you’ll earn progress toward free treats with every bite.
Did you give Cow Calendars as gifts? Here is Chick-fil-a’s response:
We know that Cow Calendars were a popular giftable item, so we are stepping up our gift card game to make sure you have something to give those most special to you.
Purchase them from your local Chick‑fil‑A Restaurant or select retail locations where gift cards are sold.
So sad! I have been sending this calendar to my son for 20 years wherever he has been stationed with the USMC. It was always a gift pleaser and gave him and others a laugh even in the worst of situations. His four children have grown up loving the calendar too! What a huge disappointment! After each deployment his first stop stateside has usually been the Chick-fil-a. The end of a great thing!
I would like to take new calendar 2019 if they can add card with calendar it be cost or what
