Busch Gardens Has It All
Fantastic Shows
Busch Gardens Williamsburg makes sure to provide entertainment for the entire family. While all the shows are “family- friendly” some might be a boring for the littlest ones. All three of my kids (2,4, and 7) LOVE “More … Pet Shenanigans”. Busch Gardens has adopted animals from shelters all over the United States and taught them tricks at the park. You can see everything from pigs to rats perform tricks for an audience!
My personal favorite show is “‘Twas The Night” during Christmas Town. It’s a 25 minute visual storytelling show on ice that follows “Twas The Night Before Christmas.” Along with the amazing ice skating are pyrotechnics and a visit from the Jolly Ol’ Elf himself!
Thrilling Coasters
As of April 2017 there are now six full sized coasters in the park. The newest coaster, InvadR, rounds out a set of coasters ranging from a 74 foot drop to 205 feet! Griffon is the second fastest dive coaster in the world. Verbolten is a multi-launch coaster and one of the smoothest rides I have ever been on- even as it switches from indoor to outdoor.
Really Good Food
One thing that sets Busch Gardens Williamsburg apart from other parks is the food. While you can certainly find funnel cakes, hot dogs and warm pretzels their restaurants have upped the bar. At Marco Polo’s Marketplace you can get food from a Mediterranean Market, Italian Kitchen, Stone Hearth Oven, Asian Grill, Garden Favorites and Desserts. I get the Vegetable Lo Mein each time we go!
However nothing can beat the Trapper’s Smokehouse. Open pit BBQ, ribs, chicken and the best fried pickles you have ever had!
Kidsiderate Attractions
Busch Gardens Williamsburg is an incredibly kid-friendly park. Not only do they have shows kids love and plenty of mac and cheese and chicken nuggets but there are tons of rides. The Sesame Street Forest of Fun has rides with Grover, Elmo, Cookie Monster and all their friends. In the Land of the Dragons kids will find rides for even the tiniest of customer plus a giant tree house and tons of areas to climb and run. We get the FREE Busch Gardens PreSchool Pass every summer for the kids!
With all this to offer why not stop in? When it comes to a day of fun Busch Gardens has it all!
