They tell you that the cash register automatically deducts a percentage off various items purchased as in-store coupons. If you check your receipt, you&#039;ll see .05¢ off, .08¢ off, etc., distributed throughout, but it never adds up to $5.00. Not even if you spend $75.00. 
Check your Saturday receipt to see if they do it where you are. They&#039;re counting on you not to notice. It&#039;s a scam.
